Week 1

Today we went to one of the aftercare homes and I was able to meet some of the girls. It was a very special time. The girls were thrilled to see Stephanie. It was apparent they missed her. We sat around as Stephanie presented the website, photographs, and images of the jewelry they had made and shared with them about the sales in the US. You could see how proud they were. It was all so professional. We sat and ate lunch with the girls and followed up with a meeting with the head sister (nun) in charge. She sat wide eyed and smiled so proud as Stephanie shared with her that a boutique in America is interested in selling the girls' jewelry work. I wish you could have seen her face. It was priceless.

Dear Wendy,
Thanks for all the updates. You write beautifully. Does the nun or do the girls speak any English. Is the language anything like at Little Flock.
Dad said you did a fabulous job leading the mission from TLC-organizing appointments for the client, helping the volunteers adjust, helping them shop, etc.
Love, Mom

Wen, I am certain the girls' necklaces would sell here- being ultra liberal with a stong flair of hippiness they would be sooo into selling Indian jewelry from girls saved from sex trades. Really I know I could do it. If you want to talk more about that, let me know. I use to sell necklaces to boutiques in SLO for a friend of mine in SoCal by just walking into the boutiques, asking to speak with the owner & that was that.
I'm so glad to hear about all that God is working through you, Stephanie & whomever else is apart of it all.

Wendy

Pardon the intrusion...

I heard that you were planning to participate in rescue missions in India. I asked your dad about it and he sent me a link to your blog.

I will sincerely pray for you as you embark upon this new journey, doing a work so close to our Father's heart.

My heart BREAKS for those who have been forced and/or manipulated into such slavery. If you have any ideas of how TLC HS ministry could support you and your ministry, please let me know.

May our Father bless you and keep you. I pray for His redemption in the lives of these women and their oppressors.

Shalom Shalom,

Clint
